README: Expand "How to contribute" opener to give readers ideas

Encourage involvement by:

- suggesting more ways of getting involved
- "give permission" to people to contribute in a wide variety of ways to development whether or not they are directly writing code

A minor thing perhaps, but every little bit helps and can't hurt.
